Boost drop
Ok so I'm hitting 21lbs at 4500rpm but it drops to 19lbs towards redline. What can I do to keep it steady at 21lbs?
Running twin 62/60 84ar turbos with twin turbosmart 45mm hypergates. Gates and turbos are hood dumped. Using the G Force II boost controller.

stronger wastegate springs? that's all i can think of unless you've got a boost leak somewhere else.
where are you getting your signal for the controller?

I’m not sure if the gforce 2 has the feature but the Eboost2 can compensate for boost drop off and keep it steady. This a very common problem and happens on all engine sizes and types. Especially when the turbos are too small on the turbine side.

Could be it's spiking to 21 psi and leveling back out to 19 psi

you can have issues trying to run double wastegate spring pressures with an ebc. what's your base spring pressure?

http://gfb.com.au/products/boost-con...troller-detail Is it installed and configured correctly to make use of this ? And as others have said....do you have a graph of boost vs rpm ? in that is the 21psi momentary or does it hold it for a while before dropping ? Can you see what changes in duty the controller is applying to the solenoid to try and maintain boost, if any at all ? 2psi is a small drop and should be easily corrected unless there are some mechanical limitations |

After I messed with the tune a little it seems to of been corrected. The car was super fat. Pulled 8% fuel out and it don't spike 21lbs and drop off. It comes in smoother and peaks at like 22 now.
