Rear Camera on a 2019 ZL1 1LE???

What the heck is going on here. 1LE's don't have the new rear view mirror camera but I was unaware that the back-up camera had moved.

Or since this car has Manufacturer plates maybe they are experimenting with the full on camera for the 2020 models.

My guess is, if you look at that car, it has the regular ZL1 grey / silver calipers. Probably a regular ZL1 that was converted to A1Z (ZL1 1LE) duty for testing at Milford Proving Grounds.

There was a Yahoo article I read this morning talking about the 2019 ZL1 1LE and it was saying that GM moved the camera to the back fin because the wing could not support the weight of the new higher resolution camera that they moved to in the 2019 models.

Now, if that is the actual reason, I am not sure, but that is what I read. I tried to find the article link, but couldn't.

I believe they do but you have to give up PDR. I know mine does not have either.

I think they may have been talking about the regular ZL1 which is what the car in these new spy shots is.

Camera is located in the spoiler so maybe that antenna is the spot for the 2020 models.

Strange the car in these spy pics from the autoblog article has no hood wrap, no red brake calipers along with the rear camera in the antenna. Maybe they are testing out the camera for a nice retro-fit mod. I really want it.

At least you're getting the cool mirror. I'm just adding a big wang in my window and no camera.

I really think this camera we see here in the antenna is test so that can be rectified for the 1LEs. Seems like the perfect spot for it on all cars.

I had no idea this was an option. They must be trying to make the cars more appealing to millennials.
