Micro-fiber on the middle of the seat,shift knob and shift boot are optional for the ZL1.
You can check this out in the dealer reference guide pg. 18. This option is to keep the
driver in the seat better with out sliding around.
If I would consider driving this car on the track a racing seat with a 5 point racing harness would be the only way to go!

Suede in the middle of the seat is standard,not optional.
As I said in my earlier post....
Standard seating is leather appointed with sueded microfiber inserts.
Also as KKreme15 posted,suede is also standard on the dash as well.
The optional suede package (RPO code "WBP") includes suede wrapped steering wheel,shift knob,and shift boot.

Exactly,suede seat inserts and dash are standard on all ZL1's.

Besides the strut brace, is anyone aware of any additional body bracing on the ZL1?

On the convertible it's got extra bracing...but the coupe? The vehicle was designed from the beginning to handle this sort of power...it doesn't need a whole lot of reinforcement because it's so darn stiff. Tied with the CTS as the most structurally rigid vehicle GM's ever built, if I'm not mistaken.

So...outside of some stiffer bushings? No! (At least not that we've been told thus far.)

Yep,Thats pretty much on every sold order,Its on the order sheet for my '11 SS,You'll also see it listed on the SPID label and build sheet as well.

My dealer called me today and told me to hold off changing my order until Monday. He thinks it will be okay, we shall see.

I have been on the dealer 'list'. For the first z-28 /zl1. I have acquired a taste for the 600 hp club with my '10 zr1... And love it...

I have spent two years calling him, reading blogs and the rest...waiting for the day to place the order.... That day came today, without a spec sheet, precise view of options and features... Just a rough two page fax of order codes and costs... Many of the options have no visual reference, nor clear descriptor... Compound that with the fact that the cf hood is n/a yet... No crystal red metallic tint coat...no blue... With no evidence that the 12s will ever come in these
Colors ( my 1-2 choices.. The vette is the red tint coat and I wanted to match em up)... Lead me to the unthinkable conclusion... Pass on alloc #1 and switch to #2. Giving a few months to see what may materialize... And prepare for a push out to 2013... With the anticipated snake killer upgrades... ( u can learn a lot at the Woodward cruise if u speak with the right people)... If the upgrades don't come then it's straight to lingenfelter for the boost... Thak you Joe
