Key Fob Cut

Anyone know where I can get a new key fob cut to fit my car? I love in rural VA no one around here can do it.
Thanks

Try the dealer, if not a locksmith.

Locksmith may be your best bet. My local dealers can’t cut them.

If you are just changing the fob for a new one and do not need a new key just push out the little pin that holds the key in the fob and put the old key in the new fob.

I ordered my blank keys online and then got them cut at Batteries Plus Bulbs. They offered to cut and program, since I said I'd do the programming myself (real easy on the 5th gen), they cut the price in half. Of course, this is assuming you have a functional key.

Batteries plus would not cut mine. I had a local locksmith cut/program mine. It may vary by location though.

I got a fob from Keyless2Go (Amazon) for $15 and paid a local locksmith $20 to cut it. Programming I did myself and it was a snap. Don't know why anyone would pay a dealer to do it.

I got an extra key on eBay for my 2020 Colorado, they cut it for me with just a picture of it. Now that was pretty cool. It worked great, I had to get it programmed at the dealer, as the Colorado is not as easy to program yourself.

Bring your registration to Chevy dealer parts department, they will cut your key for a small cost. I had to recently do this.
