The color change is normal. It is the signature of a road course car!

As you build your comfort level with the vehicle, you'll brake later, harder and the patina will come.

I've come close, I have some of the same color on parts of my O.E. calipers. Used 2/3 of hawk dtc-60's one weekend. The dust boots were crispy, but not leaking. I have since upgraded to cts-v calipers.

Dust boots are overrated

For those that track hard, dust boots are the cost of running road courses. As you wear through pad sets, you also go through caliper rebuilds or replacements as part of your preventative maintenance schedule.

My opinion and everyone has an opinion just like we all have...

Fluid - SRF
Pads - Cobalt Friction
Calipers - Brembo GT-R

A full spec'd out set of Camaro GT-R calipers and rotor are about $17k

LMAO... check out the quote below. (off of his own keyboard)

honored to know I have earned the patina. I guess to only real solution if you plan on hammering your car is a caliper with a hardened surface finish, not a painted surface.

This is just amazing to me, as well i consider myself very lucky not to of had my calipers change color. At Fontana last month KRich2587 the lettering on his calipers changed colors. Back last year i got my rotors to glow under intense braking
and my letters are still white. As well these pic's are from that weekend of the glowing rotors. These are gouges in my rotors, i cooked the brakes as well, and never even had a moment of brake fade. I have since installed the Quantum brake cooling system. With 2 1LE's coming off track our temps should basically be identical,my rotors were 200 degrees cooler then Kirks.

did you replace your rotors? IMO the OEM rotors can't handle a upgraded pad, material cakes on the rotor, gouges and then micro cracks everywhere. I'm waiting for the Z/28 brake ducts and will probably change to a Racing Brakes 2 piece rotor and go back a a more aggressive pad.

Interesting picture. What pads were you running?
