I think we ran out of room with the I pipes so if he wanted to go into the 27 inch range he would prolly have to do j pipes on the end.

I'm thinking that if I section the main resonator at about 3/4 length, install a 45 deg elbow and then attach the capped section on top I can get a few more inches of length.

Now that you mentioned the U pipes, I think we could probably use them and double back on the resonator to gain the extra length that way. I'll email you.

First off, those are 5" tips from Headmans.

I can now report that the drone I had at 1.5k to 1.8k rpms is totally gone. The exhaust now resonates at 2.5k rpm and it comes on rather abruptly. Those who have experienced the old school Honda VTEC and the current one in the 06+ Civics will have some idea. Nothing... nothing... and then suddenly POW! It is more like a howl than a drone. The best thing about it is that the sound is actually in the exhaust note itself and not due to it interacting with the cabin.
