I think this is your biggest problem, unfortunately.

I'm cutting 1.7x's on the P-zero's when I drop the pressure down to 26-28 in the rears. Any lower and you will spin the tire on the rim and still not go anywhere.

Where you are running the NT05, just drop the pressure to 28 on the first pass and see how it goes. It would be great if you had access to an air compressor when you start playing with your air pressure, because if you go too low, its kind of hard to blow them back up without one. lol

When you do your burn out, keep the line lock off. It isn't needed yet with these tires. Do a quick burn out. I put it in 1st and stomp on it just enough to get the car to move. All your trying to do is get the crap off the tires you picked up from the pit to the waterbox.

Invest in a good tire pressure guage and check your pressure every pass. Keep it consistant. If you feel the tires starting to spin, lift a little and get back on it after you no longer feel them spinning.

By cutting 2.2x 60's, you're costing yourself about .7x on each pass. There is a big difference in a night with a single 11.xx pass and one with a bunch of 12.2x passes.

I know I was pissed at myself when I cut a 2.xx 60' after I started seeing 1.7x's. It seems that I can either cut a good 60' or not miss 3rd. Getting the two to work together is something that is escaping me currently. Lucky for you, if you get the 60' down, the rest is butter.

Keep playing with your rpm's and practice a steady, smooth motion on the gas. You'll get there.

OP 18" with DR would the best for you. If you heat street tires to much they get greases and slick. Now if you had nitto 555R DR they need a lot of heat. After I first went FI I was running stock wheel with the 555R nitto and cutting 1.60 60' running high 10s and low 11s. You should be low 11s

Ok, that's going to be my next thing to get. Some 18s with some 555r or mickey Thompson tires on the rear. Probably going to take me a while to save up for some fresh wheels and fresh tires but I can wait. What about 275/40/20 555r for the rear.

Best bang for the buck, as others have said, is the Z06 18" front wheel with the 40 offset. I run my ZL1, and my SS before that, with them and Mickey Thompson 305/45 18s for DRs. My car is modded and has an auto but I get 1.50-1.54 60's pretty consistently.

Well, when I was making these passes I had the tire pressure anywhere from 15-19psi. My buddy said I need to lower the pressure as much as possible and heat them up as well. I told him what was posted on here and he said good catch. ha ha. im starting to believe he doesn't know what he is talking about ha ha. Nect time I go I will put the pressure their. So if I am spinning out, do I raise the air pressure more or do I lower it some. I uses the air compressor that came with the car to put or take air out. Comes in handy a lot on the track. Do I need to let the tires smoke or just a small burnout in sport mode to get them going and rollout? I think on my last run I used the paddle shifters and eased on to the gas pedal and my 60 was a 2.1. Still bad but it was best of the night. Thanks again for your time.

My best 60' on street tires was with 30-32 psi and a very short like 1-2 second burnout just to clean them off. This netted me an average 60' of 1.85-1.90 on a 245/40-19.

OP if you wasn't so far away I would let you try my old 555r out. While your saving for 18" maybe you can find a cheap set 275/40/20 555r. I have them on now playing with the new line lock they still have a little in them. May go to the track tomorrow with them just for the hell of it LOL.

When I ran them 18psi was the sweet spot for me.

LOL....Mr. Nasty you should get some ZL1 rear splash guards. They aren't cheap for what they are but they really cut don't on the rubber being thrown up and they aren't very noticeable. I've had almost 0 rubber on my rear quarters with burnouts.

Tire pressure was way to low. You were likely spinning the tire on the rim with that little air in the tires. Easy way to tell if that is happening is put a mark on the rim and tire ad check it after the pass. Use something that is easy to remove though. You just want to drop the pressure enough to widen the contact patch.

Ideally you want zero smoke from your burnout on street tires. Just a quick spin to get the water and junk off before you get to the line.

Also, make sure you line up in the groove. It can be a little tricky if you drive around the water box but if you are out of it, traction sucks.

LOL yeah when I go to the track I tape it up. That was a parking lot burn out did not mean to do that.

15 TO 19 may be to low for street tires but with DR 16 to 18 is what you want. With 18" MT I run 16 to 17 and on slicks I will go as low as 13psi. I have never had tires spin on my rims. Cuting 1.50 60' and yes mine or marked just so I can keep a eye on it.

Well, I was doing some searching around and found some C6/ZR1 wheels that are 18x9.5 all the way around with a 40mm offset. I was curious if these wheel would help. I couldn't find any zo6 wheels but I did find these wheels. Once, but once I did some reading, it had that they were replicas too. Any downside to being replicas? What do yall guys think?

Ok, next time I go. I will drop the pressure to around 28psi and see how that does. Zero smoke? I was told that I need to at least get smoke from them.
