camaro ss interior pics?

Okay, Im not 100% sure on this but i think we have some camaro ss interior pictures but we haven't realized it. Notice how the first picture (camaro rs v6) has no logo between the split bottom spoke of the steering wheel. However, the second one does and, it looks like an ss symbol. So Im not completely sure but I think it makes sense

(also if you go to the chevy canada site, the ss the engineer is in has a logo there too look at the picture gallery.)

The second one is more of a digital rendering of what the SS will (hopefully) look like. I don't think it is a real photo, but I'm just guessing.

EDIT: I'll be damned, there is an SS badge on the wheel in the SS that the engineer was talking about. Nice catch ponycatcher21.

I think they are just artists renderings. The shifters are even different in both SS pics. And it has HUD and we know that that isnt coming until later.

The SS and RS interiors will be very similar. We don't have a gimp for a V6, so neither interior is going to be a slouch. I believe the SS is going to replace the word "Camaro" on the steering wheel and will also be on the headrests.

So...... what's the point? They're the same interiors other than one stitching, right?

That's where the SS is supposed to be on the steering wheel from what I've heard.

Wow, the only reason I didn't comment on this two weeks ago was because I thought it was so obvious that everyone was already aware of it.

I figured everyone else noticed this also, but you can tell which interior is the SS by the redline on the tachometer. The SS has a redline of 6600, and the L99 motor redlines at 6125. That picture is possibly an artist's rendering, because it's got the SS badge, but only a 6125 redline. However, this picture (http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...2&d=1216405535) shows a redline of 6600 RPM, but it's obviously not an SS. There's no SS badge on the steering wheel, and the pedals are nothing special. Even the picture above in Balonywolf's post shows upgraded pedals.

None of these pictures are final designs and they are subject to change...but it's still a little odd.

As a practical matter there cannot be a whole lot of significant differences in the interior from the base to SS models. Other than HUD and the like that are components. If you look at Corvette of Mustang even you will see that the models share the same basic interior throughout the lineup. This is why I love what GM did with the Camaro. The interior is very nice regardless of where in the lineup you end up buying. Where this pays off is that those of us that buy the SS will get a nice interior to go with a performance car. In the case of the Mustang, there are guys paying 100k+ for a GT500KR that has the crappy interior of a 20k base model that shares many bits and pieces with the F150. Almost the entire center stack is identical from my 06 F150.

Looks more like a 7000 rpm redline. What is the redline of the V6?

I hadn't noticed the little 'SS' at the bottom of the wheel before.

I like that much more than the idea of a large 'SS' in the center of the wheel.
