If you combined the BCM update for the steering wheel controls and the PDIM, would it be just $50? Or would I have to pay for two downloads?

There's no download for the PDIM. All they have to do is update the system that you have a PDIM and then they reflash your radio with that information and that unlocks it. The whole process for the PDIM takes like 5 or 10 minutes, including hooking up the programming tool. You shouldn't have to pay more than $160. If they try to charge you more they're trying to screw you. Before you go in, talk to the manager and get a set price for what they're doing. Write the guy's name down so you have some type of verification to backup the price.

They're actually installing the bluetooth OnStar module (two hours labor) and while it's there I'm going to have them flash the BCM and radio for the steering wheel controls and PDIM.

The two hours labor seems excessive for the OnStar module, but I don't have any other choice. But I'll make sure I get a quote for everything up front.

Hell no... I'm not drinking the haterade :p

Good for you sporty. About time one of the dealers took care of one of us instead of trying to bend us over. That's an awesome price man. Basically, they just charged you for the download. Kudos to Allen Samuels.

Glad it all worked out for you man. Enjoy the controls.

I second that, good for you.
I believe once the dealers have downloaded the info to mod the car from GM, they can keep it and forgoe that charge for the next guy in line. That's what they SHOULD do anyway.
