Does anyone else's touchscreen "bleed" light back onto the dash?
Hey guys...
I drove my new 18 at night and noticed the touchscreen has a back light shining on the dash... Does everyone else's do this too? Thanks! |

I wondered that too when I picked up my car. I looked back there and there are white LEDs. As mentioned above, some kind of ambient lights, but I agree, it does look like the light bleeds from behind the screen.
Not a huge fan of it!

Any DIY solutions to get rid of the light bleed? It totally clashes with the ambient color lighting. Same thing in mine.

I for one happen to like it. There is a consistent, subtle theme of low key ambient interior LED's, from these through the map lights to the tiny bulbs behind the door handles. Any backlight bleed from the infotainment screen would look completely different.

I like it, if you don't just put some black tape over them or get fancy by disconnecting the LEDs (no idea how to do that so don't ask me).
