For the GM stuff I have added I have gotten it at a reduced price.

Again this is a Plug and Play Mod. You only have to drill 3 holes, there are no wires to cut and no t-taps. You just plug in the connectors and follow the directions. It looks Great when it is done.

I have also added this to my car. It is pricey ( got it at a discount) but a nice addition. The LED's are not as bright as the aftermarket lights but it still looks nice. I like that it is a factory kit. Just my .02 cents.

What I find funny is it states: The purpose is to illuminate... ...front footwells (if equipped) WTF!? How do you NOT have front footwells?

Because the kit can be bought with just cupholder LEDs which = no front footwells........... lights that is!

You answered your own disbelief its all about the plug and play. Not saying I would buy it I went aftermarket. This is way over priced.

Not over priced if you think about it. Ive seen some mods with lighting with 3 major defects.. Giant holes cut into the side of the footwells that are visable from outside the car looking in Epic fail 1. Lights that have been wired in wrong and shorted out causing damage Epic fail 2. And having to re install product due to poor manufacturing quality. after the 3rd re install i think I would of went with a OEM setup epic fail 3.
Just my .02 from what I have personally seen

Post GM Plug and Play LED Footwell/Cupholder Lighting

I have been searching EBay and looking at the various aftermarket offerings for inclusion in the Orange Krate build and think that this component is indeed worth the money. Since it is a considered a GM OEM piece of equipment it is value added as a plug and play piece. The setup is clean and the install looks fairly straightforward. Thanks to the OP for putting up this thread and allowing for discussion on the pros and cons and available options, great thread.

I haven't been able to locate this for anything less than $315.00. Does anyone have a connection to get it cheaper? Like maybe....$215.00?
