Alpha platform Camaro = '70-'73 Retro Styling?

Not to sure if this is the right place for this thread, and I couldn't find one like it anywhere else.

Anyway, being a former owner of a '73 Z28, I can only imagine how awesome it would be to see the Alpha platform come out in a Retro 2nd gen style
I know, there are lots of guys who think the Retro look should be on its way out, but I believe the looks of these cars are the reason they are still dear to our hearts so many years later. Look how well it worked so far for the Big Three, anyway, I just wanted to see how many other people are out there like me, hoping to see a modern '70 SS (or Z28) rolling down the street in another couple years.

If it was done as well as the 5th gen, it would be great!

If you notice how popular the '70-'73 "Grill" is right now, eg, the 2013 Charger SRT8, the GT500, and the EVO just to use a few examples of the big opening look in the grill is all the rage.
I think they could make it look fantastic!

There was a concept drawing of one in a thread yesterday. Go back a page, take a look.

I found it, that photoshop had FAR too much 5th gen in it, if they could actually follow the 2nd gen hood lines, instead of making it look like the Trans Am LPE was making, then they could get my money right now.
On the other hand, the rear end looked pretty good!

Early 2nd Gens (70-73) have always been my favorite. I'd like to see that.

I think the '70-'73 years are the best looking Camaros of all time. However, I don't think a modern version can be made without it looking ugly. The lines of the early 70's Camaro would be difficult to modernize and still be able to meet modern safety regulations.
Plus, most people think of the '69 Camaro when they think of old Camaros. Alot of people are not familiar with 2nd gen Camaros ('70-'81).

I'm also a big Gen2 fan, 4 of my 7 Camaros were Gen2. I think there's a good possibility that the Gen6 could take a couple of styling points from the Gen2.

1) The roofline with the wrap around back glass helps the visibility issues.

2) The one window (front doors only) makes for an easier T-top design. The Gen5 was styled with a convertible in mind. Will the Gen6 be built with a T-top in mind?

My opinion on this is that although I didn't have feelings for the 2nd Generation Camaro, I feel 100% in favor of the real Gen 6 Camaro being retro styled to look like the 2nd Gen.

THE reason I bought a 2011 5th Gen Camaro (trading in my 2005 Monte Carlo that there was NOTHING wrong with) is because the feeling I had whenever I saw an actual 1st Gen Camaro on the road was something that I could now own in a modern version.

Do 2nd Gen fans, who may have never had a chance to own one, deserve the opportunity the same way I received it as a 1st Gen fan? 100% Yes they do!

I'd even like to see how uniquely they style it, if they do go that route for the 6th Gen.
