JANNETTY RACING ZL-1 BACK ON THE DYNO

Hard to believe it has been over 2 years since we released our Performance packages for the ZL-1.

I thought it time to Revisit and refine our current ZL-1 packages so My ZL-1 is back on the dyno for some testing of different combinations of parts to see how they perform and what else we can learn from it.

The JRE 75 RWHP and 125 RWHP Packages are very popular so this is where my primary focus will be for now.

As I gather data and refine the tuning I will be posting the results.

I will not be posting any glory numbers, only numbers that can be consistently repeated at least 3 times in a row.

I am more interested in what can be expected in the real world on the street and on the track.

Stay tuned with JRE.

Ted.

Can you give us an idea of what combinations you are looking in to?

Thanks
Tony

We established these power combinations long ago with the CTSV then when I got my car a 2013 ZL-1 AUTO, back on July of 2012 I tested them and refined them for the ZL-1

We offerd our 75 RWHP No tune, 75 RWHP tune, a 100 RWHP tune a 125 RWHP tune a 150 RWHP tune and a 200 RWHP tune.

As the market evolved and parts availability changed we changed our packages accordingly.

So Our newest rendition of the 75 RWHP package includes
Rotofab CAI
ATI superdamper with 10% crank pulley
Gates Belt with option of HD Green belt
GM crank bolt with option of ARP crank bolt
Moroso direct fit catch can.
SCT X4 hand held tuner
JRE custom tuning.

Results are better than expected at 550 RWHP and 532 RWTQ on 93 octane pump gas up from base of 465 RWHP 462 RWTQ. STOCK.

We received a lot of requests to add an 18% to our 75 RWHP package which also requires ID-850s.

Knowing what I know in my mind, I advised against it even though I never tested this combo.

I had suspected that without Headers Pump Gas would not be tolerant of the added boost and I was right.

Adding an 18% crank pulley and ID-850s after a full day of tuning could only produce a 10 RWHP gain at 6200 RPM but with a 25 RWTQ loss in the 2000 to 4000 RPM range.

Pump gas just does not like 12.5 psi boost and I had to take a bunch of timing out in that area to prevent knock retard.

This is in comparison to our 75 RWHP package

Car is on the lift getting ARH 2 inch Long Tube headers as I type this.

Long tube headers are the last piece to complete the 125 RWHP Package.

I will be dyno testing/tuning and reporting later this week.

In.

After you get done with headers and 18%, would love to see ring swap to 22% and adding Torco with back to back runs to see what happens.

Not that you asked for my opinion or input!

Are you gonna run cats or no cats with the ARH headers. Also, how much power difference is the 2" ARH to 1 7/8 dynatech. I'm curious about the 22% pulley.

Im curious about the header comparison as well.
What is the power level when you would want to upsize from 1-7/8 to 2"?
