G8 GT is a very nice automobile. But it does not have the styling of the Camaro. My G8 GT was nearly invisible. No attention, no cell phone cameras, no one coming up an asking what it was. Camaro on the other hand..........................more attention than anything I've ever driven. That being said, for $22,000 the G8 is a great buy and a really enjoyable car to drive.

I say keep your evoX one more year and then get a lightly used 2009 produced 2010 model Camaro with similar miles to the current G8. Most likely what I am going to do, but I dont think you would be able to find one for 22K.
Unless you are set on getting one new and custom ordered, just go for the Camaro this year. |

Get Both. Problem solved!
Just kidding, but that would be the best deal ever! I would go with what Number 3 said, the attention your going to get, for the first year or so (Peak Attention grabbing time) you will have such a cocky smile on its great. The G8 is beautiful, always had my attention, but the Camaro will have everyones attention, and you get an LS3! |

Asking people on Camaro5.com probably won't get unbiased opinions. We are on this site as we have a common passion. I voted for the Camaro, but I'll have 3 when the new one arrives...and by step sons each have a Camaro, and their Dad has a Camaro=6 total. It depends on your personal needs and funding...the G8 sounds like a good deal! But I would still get the Camaro, it's an affliction that I'm trying to live with.

I'm in the same boat, and I'm honestly leaning towards the G8. Whatever I get will be my daily driver, and it does snow here. The 4 doors is also nice since I do put 3 in the back seat of my current car sometimes.
But as someone said, it would be really tough when those Camaro's finally hit the streets and I don't have one. |

I happen to like the GTPs and the GTOs they are good looking and liek the G8 can be made very fast! If you have to run kis around a lot then the G8 is the correct deal for you right now. At 22k thats tought to beat thats close to $180 a month less car payment fo rother bills. If you budget minded and kids but still want HP the G8 is the better deal for ya.
If you have an SUV or Minivan to take kids around in and don't need the savings really. Then wait for your camaro. The camaro looks more like a hotrod/sportscar than any of the afore mention rides. Thats the real deal. I have looked and considered the G8s a few times but I just can't get past the camaros looks and the offer a slaesman gave me this weekend while i was just cruising around was 29k for a new one that was marked 35k. Not a bad start but for me in this case 33k vs 27/29k isn't enough savings. |
