Both are excellent exhausts.
Borla and Corsa make different exhausts for the Camaro depending on how aggressive you want your exhaust to sound. So your needs would be important. 1. How loud of a system do you want? 2. Do you mind drone? Is a little or a lot of drone okay? 3. Future plans? (adding long tube headers in the future?) 4. L99 A6 or LS3 M6? |

I love my corsa...it can be very loud when it wants to be, but if your not on it, its a somewhat quiet exhaust..sometimes its loud without notice- i.e. a back crackle or gurgle. I have heard headers make it 10 times louder, so i can wait to hear it.

Corsa FTW. Everybody is going to chime in with their favorite. I can tell you after experiencing drone from another system, that I was about to give up, and put the stock exhaust back on. I took a leap of faith and bought the Corsa and was extremely happy. Drone is gone, and it sounds great. I've had it for almost a year with no problems. Nice and loud when I step on it. I would think that with a vert, drone would be even more noticeable with a ragtop. I dunno. Borla has been around a long time and makes a quality product too. I would not change what I have.

how did you install the corsa cat-back to the arh headers that are designed to go all the way to the axle? did you have to cut off the midpipes that came with the arh header kit? |

I've got the Borla S-Type and I love it. Sounds great at start up, it's not too loud at an idol, and it really is aggressive when you get on the gas. Nothing against Corsa, but whatever you do, get rid of the stock system ASAP. lol Videos on your phone or PC won't do any exhaust justice. Good Luck!

A few of us with verts went with Solo. Quiet as stock when cruising but a much nicer idle and sound when getting on it.

Now if you have a L99 and are not going to tune AFM off go with the Corsa made for the L99 with resonators. Any Borla with AFM still on will be more annoying in 4 cylinder mode. If you plan on getting headers, your perfect volume exhaust may now become too loud... The Corsa I heard at Livernois with headers (LS3 Corsa, no resonators) was loud! I ended up getting lucky with my Borla Touring.... was on the quiet side without headers, but after headers is perfect for me. Both use 304 stainless which is a better grade than others that use 409 stainless... keep investigating and good luck! |
