Where Do These Plastic Pieces Go?

I've had these things laying in the garage for over 2 years now. They were in the trunk when I picked up my '22 ZL1. For the life of me I can't line up any holes under the front of the car where they might go.

Pix will help greatly..

They go under the front bumper mounted to the black plastic shielding. Your dealer should have installed them during PDI.

They look like are part of the brake cooling ductwork. The rounded ones are the tire deflector, I forget what the others are.

They attach in front of the front wheels on each side, with the rubber/plastic strip, going across the front of each front corner. They basically funnel air on to the tire.

I remember someone saying two of the pieces are just for the track. Not sure if that's true or not or why.

They go across the front edge on each side if you look at the third picture

Those two flat pieces are intended for track use only. It won't hurt anything to leave them on for street use, though.

My dealer left the two flat pieces off too. I installed them since they offer some protection for the underside of the front bumper.

Usually, these are installed by the dealer after the car is taken delivery of as they will often scrape being unloaded if installed due to the incline on those trailers. That's something to keep in mind if the car has to be trailered or towed moving forward. This is also why many cars don't get the spring blocks (orange blocks) removed because the car sits higher in front.

I do recommend installing them however if you are planning to track/race the car for any reason. It does help with the aero on keeping the car planted. It's not a must have item but it's a very painless install if you do have to do it.

I really like this forum. I asked this exact same question last year in a Facebook group and got "RTFM' for an answer. Go figure. Anyway, this is a great place to learn.
