Not impressed with Loudmouth2 on LS3
Friday night I installed the Loudmouth 2 on my LS3, no doubt it's a quality product, I was just hoping for something a little louder, I actually think it sounded better with no mufflers.
My 2 questions are: Will it get louder over time? Would a cold air intake make it any louder? I was considering the CAI/ Thanks Jesse |

Take that money and go do a muffler delete and x-pipe. Do you still have your factory mufflers with the tips? You'll need tips and you either re-use your factory ones or you'll have to buy some. And....no I don't think a CAI will make enough of a difference to make you happy. I barely noticed an increase in sound with my Halltech.

Wow. I just had mine installed Saturday. Inside the car, it sounds very similar to stock. Outside the car, the overall tone is deeper, with some occasional poppings. I agree, the Loudmouth I is much more agressive, but too aggressive IMO.
Over stock, the LDM II is an improvement. And a Huge improvement of GMPP. The tone is deeper, and burbly, but not as agressive as say a ATAK. For the money, this axleback is on par. I will be installing my CAI system this weekend, too. |

That's why I have the loud mouth one. Two is just fancy mufflers. Too quiet. Loud mouth one opens it up by removing the mufflers.

Loudmouth is the way to go if you want lots of sound. Not Loudmouth 2...

intake will wake it up a bit, but adding headers will do the trick. that will give it a good deep tone that isn't raspy, but still loud.
i have headers, x-pipe, and muffler delete and it is really loud, raspy, and at idle sounds almost like a diesel... needless to say i will be finding mufflers soon, cuz the future Mrs. doesn't like it, eventhough i do.

RedJewel. I got my longtubes on finally.. no more offroad downpipes and its awesome! Brett gets my car tomorrow hopefully he will dyno it before the cam swap etc. so we can see if the Longtubes gained any power over the 400rwhp last time.
