A DOHC engine is probably good for 5% - 10% better output for a given displacement, and the advantage of being able to juggle the exhaust vs intake valve timing is good for a little more in some parts of the rev range. A DOHC will normally have a higher rev limit.

The LS3 still has about a 25% advantage in displacement, call this "cushion" against the DOHC advantages of volumetric efficiency and ability to utilize shorter gearing.

I certainly expect the LS3 to come out on top given equal-ish mod levels, though not to an extent where "destroy" would be a good description.

All of which is beside the point of the 1LE anyway.

Why are people comparing the ls3 to the coyote? I thought this was car vs car. The mustangs trapping 123-126 are only around 450whp. A 450whp 1le will have a hard time hitting high teens.

On my SS I found the clutch took a while to break in compared to other cars I have owned. The chatter comes and goes depending on the way the car is driven. I try not to get it too hot by avoiding slip on shifts and engaging quickly at launch. It improves with time as well. Yeah the transmission can be noisy, but I don't notice it now.

I take what you say over actual in my face video, Yea cause they have a lot to gain by inflating numbers.

Yea and you will soon be trading back cause you definitely favor the 5.0, which there's nothing wrong with there both great cars.
With my history I'll always have love for the stang....but for the better car the camaro overall I'm pretty sure will always be the winner...
Especially with the direction Ford took there new body style in..

From a european point of view (I'm french and owning a 1LE), this is really amazing how important are quarter miles, 0 to 60, figures... to american drivers!!

We in europe only specify quickly the 0 to 60 and then go all the way on handling. That's really a funny cultural difference!

Like if americans were only driving straight lines! Especially weird when you're talking about a TRACK PACK. Unless you guys have "no turns" tracks?

1LE is a track car, who would care about straight lines figures regarding a car supposed to take hard turns??

Besides, this "who's got the biggest" race turns crazy... don't worry 'bout Mustang vs. Camaro... Lamborghinis kick our asses anyway :-)
