Hurst Billet Plus Shifter for the 2016-19 Camaro SS - Available July 1, 2016

Application: 2016-2019 Chevrolet Camaro SS with 6 speed manual transmission.

You heard it here first! Hurst is proud to announce that we will be releasing our Billet/Plus shifter for the 2016-2019 Camaro SS on July 1st. This is a NEW Billet/Plus shifter that we have designed specifically for the 2016-2019 Camaro SS with TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission. This shifter features a billet aluminum isolated stick design and is available with a classic white ball knob(part #3916031) or a modern black anodized pistol-grip handle(part #3916131). The shifter mechanism features a precision hardened steel pivot ball and CNC-machined linkage rod that provide a 40% reduction in shifter throw. We listened to the feedback that we've received from Camaro owners and have designed this shifter with performance and NVH in mind. Our extensive testing has resulted in a shifter that produces a solid, clean shift feel without ANY additional interior sound or vibration. Here's a preview of what's on the way:

I am sorry that handle and ball looks like crap! This new Camaro is not from the 60's and 70's Make a clean factory knob with your kit.

^^^

I would buy one if it wasn't for the shift knobs. I like the stock look much better and the stock doesn't feel bad either.

drop the exhaust, driveshaft and possibly the trans to swap shifters? No thanks.

Hurst, I know you make a quality product, but there is no chance I'll be doing this mod. Is there no way to do this from the top down?

Just wait until they tell you that the axles have to be removed to install their exhaust. Lol

Wonder if these will rattling like the old ones? I put one in my 2010SS. Thing rattled so bad i couldn't stand it!!
They suggested putting some foam tape on the base of the shaft. Tried that...Needless to say I ripped it out the next day!
Total P.O.S!

I'm surprised you have to drop the exhaust and driveshaft? I guess since it less room than the 5gen? I had one on my 5gen and all I had to do was unbolt trans from crossmember and lower trans a bit.

Headliner and seats have to be removed to install their floormats too.

I've had a number of aftermarket shifters, B&M, Hurst, etc., and all of them transmitted a noticeable amount of noise through them into the cabin. That's why I quit buying them. It seems that no matter which brand I used and installed they were all noisy. At least I could replace them while still in the cabin and didn't have to use a lift. This is just too much work IMHO.
