Savini wheels are meant to be parked and looked at. NOT driven on.

I have pics of my paint flaking just as you described. One wheel had approx. a third of the paint missing when I sold them. The chrome is FLAWLESS underneath so no way was paint going to stick. Savini is a sorry company.

But I'm guessing your other issue is holding air or vibration. They might get them right but YOU will be paying for it. On way or another. Good luck with them. I really hope you can get the issue straight. I know 3 others on here who will vouch that they are over-rated. Pretty. But over-rated.

My Forgelines are being made. Can't wait to erase all things Savini from my car.

Yeah... If iggy can make a good mold he should be able to make a bunch. The detail on the fender he did is definately an option...... Not a requirement.

Just dropping in for an update. Its been a LONG year and I will not got over the details but the hood, trunk and some kevlar parts needed to be redone. Almost finished now. I had the paint on the wheels removed, bought an AAC mail slot light as the one from Knightrider in the UK failed. I also bought the camaro 5 door jam lights from AAC to be installed.

I guess the biggest news is that I'm registered to do One Lap Of America next May with my day.

8000 miles on the road over 16 days PLUS a HELL of a lot of track time.

VERY excited.

So... getting ready to leave in about a week for One Lap of America. Got new race wheels from AG wheels. It is a long story but I have not had a good experience with my Savini wheels. Running Pilot SS tires.

Got some new Hawk race pads. Installed XM satellite radio with the new head unit. Got an oil change (although the dealership crunched the CF lip and buckled the bumper so the car is "damage" just as I leave). *sigh*

Anyway... going to be a GREAT adventure.

So here is a recent picture now it is finally out of the shop.

No more yellow stripe. There is a black gloss stripe on the hood. The trunk is 100% CF. This is the prototype but the builder IS planning on offering them for sale when the mold is perfect. The roof has been redone in CF and looks perfect

Also new wheels from AG... this is their racing wheel... VERY light weight. Michelin PSS tires. getting ready to set off for One Lap Of America on Sunday. Expecting my new steering wheel on Friday. A big shout out to Eric at Wheel Studio for sponsoring the car for OLOA and giving me a smoking deal on the wheels.
