Little Chips In Paint On Rear Fenders

Hello, I noticed that Iím getting very small chips in my paint on the rear fenders where the 3 indents are. Iím assuming the front tires are through fine dirt back there where the fenders stick out. Have you guys had this and what did you use to make that stop? Mud flaps?

Also where can I purchase some black vinyl to go in those indents to cover some of it up? Thank you for all your help!

I put a set of splash guards on both front and rear. I bought "mudflaps" technically and both sets were about $20 at O'Reillys, then made some templates get them to fit the long thin fender lips particularly on the front. On the rears i needed to make special mounting brackets since there aren't any fender lips. Turned out very unobtrusive overall. No chrome naked ladies tho.

I assumed you have used the Dr. Colorchip. How easy and or hard is it to apply and do so it doesnt look like crap and you dont ruin your paint job? I red somewhere that people have ruined their paint job and made things worse. Seems to get good reviews though for the most part. Thank you for the suggestions!

If you follow the directions, Dr Colorchip is easy to do and will not ruin your paint. While not completely invisible, the repairs come out pretty darn good.

I second the Dr. Colorchip method. If done correctly and you take your time the results are amazing. Couldn't even find some of the spots after I was done, and my quarters were pretty rough in spots.

I guess I've been lucky. After 12 years and many trips including Florida, Valdosta Ga, Indy, Md, Canada, etc I have no chips
in that area ( 1/4 panels, Not fenders ). Also my front end is near chip free. As far as chip repairs go, I would leave it be,
or let a body shop make the repairs imo.
