Brake/Clutch Fluid Reservoir

To start off, I got my 2013 1LE about 3 years ago used. Since about a year into owning it, I noticed some brake fluid around the plastic reservoir. I changed the cap thinking there was a faulty seal on the cap. Continued to drive thinking it was fine but it continued to leak, this time around the middle area where the reservoir container seams together (essentially the lip near the halfway mark).

I bought another reservoir to replace it but I was curious if this was a common occurrence or what.

Never heard of it leaking at the molded seam, just the cap. I'd just replace the reservoir and be done with it. Cheap plastic.
