My son-in-law just got replacement Pirelli tires for his 2014 SS. I ran with BFG for quite a few years, but they become noisy after not too many miles. I got the General tires in January that the OP mentioned and I have been quite happy.

Heating them up at the drag strip and 80 mph freeway burnouts, in Mexico of course, tend to wear out tires quicker.

I have General Gmax RS and love them! Perfect tire for all around performance. I'm making 430ish rwhp with 4.11 gears and they hook surprising well. Good price point too

I just had a new set of BF Goodrich G Force Comp 2 A/S Plus put on yesterday afternoon. They hook up great, road noise is not an issue, & are very responsive... Got a deal on a new set $800 mounted, balanced, tax, & all... Only driven them about 30-40 miles thus far, but I am very happy with them.

Replaced my Z/28's dry rotted Pirelli's with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. Rides great and handles fantastic. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Extreme contacts all seasons or sports Best wearing and sticky tire I found, used to run toyo proxes 4+ after the p zeros and they lasted a little longer.

Continentals extremely popular, well-loved DWS line has evolved, and with the ExtremeContact DWS06 tire, its better than ever. Many tires promise year-round traction, but the DWS06 truly delivers, with dependable grip on wet, slippery, and snowy roads. Its all thanks to tread technology like Traction Grooves and X-Sipes, which add up to give you driving confidence in bad weather, whether youre accelerating, braking, or carving tight turns. More tread features alert you to potential performance and alignment issues. Feel safe and confident on the road with a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires. Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Passenger Tire,

I Daily drive all winter long.

Just put 4 new 285/35/20 Kumho Ecsta PS91 on my OEM wheels & for a summer only street tire the price is pretty darn cheap. ($185 per 1 @ tire rack) I also have the MPS4S mounted on OEM ZL1 wheels in 285/35/20's also, & I can't feel the difference between the two brands. I know that might sound like "blasphemy", but I don't track my car, just street driven.

Yeah I found Tire Rack has some good deals if you search. Last summer I picked up a full set of Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s for $738.66 and they also sent me a $50 visa gift car as a rebate. That was with OEM SS tire sizes though. They also deliver very quick too.

General GMax RS here, and love them. Grip well wet and dry. Moved to FL and got rid of the General AS-03 all seasons, which were okay, but not great.

Just took the BFG GForce Comp 2 A/S Plus out for the 1st ride in the rain to see how they handled on wet roads... They were much better than expected. Held tight in the corners & did not break loose unless I really gave it hell... I was shocked really, but very happy with them.

Best tires I have run on this car since I purchased. Pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Lots of great answers and thank you all for your replies and advice. I've owned tons of older muscle cars, this is my 1st modern muscle and I'm hooked but realize I now feel like a dinosaur because I know nothing about them...especially the computer stuff.

Car was in bad shape when I got it. Tires shake and bounce the car all over the road. Unsafe to drive and am concerned about damaging it. Picked up the car for cheap though with only 11,000 miles on it.

thanks again!
