Filter hitting hood lining

I have a halltech CAI and have noticed lately that my air filter is hitting the hood lining. The filter has a few small crinkles in it from the lining compressing on it. The box around the filter is getting a good seal on the hood. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.

Your airbox isn't seated correctly. Mess with it and get it pushed down. The airbox can be a bit tricky. I've never seen a properly installed Halltech filter hit the hood liner. Can you take some pics?

Agreed that it's the box not installed correctly and agreed that it can be a pain to get in.

Im going to take a closer look at it in the morning when I get off. The air box seems to be sealing properly but it looks like the highest part of the filter is even with the top of the box. Ive been having it on for about a year now and never realy noticed anything unitl about a couple weeks ago.

Try looking in this thread. There's lots of pictures for reference. Page 5 and 6 should have what you're looking for.

It does appear that it could be very close if the box isn't firmly planted. Very shortly after receiving it, my yellow-jacket tube and filter went into a Roto-Fab box. The RF box allows the filter to sit lower.
