At this point I plan on taking an open trailer... I rented one last week, and it was a great deal, and I know the car fits well.

I bought a 2008 F-250 Supercrew Diesel. It is a big truck but it does the job well.

I won't disagree. The biggest problem I had with the Chevy and the Dodge was the interiors.. We also use our turck for long road trips with 3 or 4 people. That means we need something with lots of room and some nice comfy seats... That is the main reason we chose the Ford.

Update: 4/6/2010

Today the 427 Shortblock, Custom head Gaskets, and Heavy Duty Timing Chain have all arrived. It is now time to fill that massive hole under the hood!

OK, back on topic... LOL

So what do you folks think we will be able to make in the RWHP department?
This is an all forged 427 cubic inch LS3. We are using a 4.125 Bore and 4.00 stroke, and an 11:1 compression so we are pump gas friendly.

The goal is to be able to put down numbers like folks who are buying supercharger kits... so that is around 515 RWHP on average. I hope to put down a little more than that, but I would like to know what you think we will make!!

It should be a blast to drive no matter what the power is and if you want to drive something with boost I guess you can drive mine!!!! LOL!
Ok I'll guess 525rwhp but I hope you make at least 600 that would be sweet!!!

So where is your RWHP guess???

I will guess 550 for my guess... and to be honest it is a guess because this is a new combo with this cam so we do not knwo what it will do... but it wont matter to the engine as it is built to handle over 1000HP!!

Pointless to try to make a hp guess without even knowing some cam specs or something about the heads.... for all we know you are throwing a 224 cam in there on a set of 330 cfm heads! lol.

I am digging the 4.125 bore through.. a lot. great for compression and head flow.

Well to help the guesses....
The cam wil be around .630 lift, and there is a competition style valve job.

you have to remember, with the bigger bore and stroker we can get away with more cam without the idle getting crazy.

Update: 4/8/2010

Lots of deliveries coming in today...
We should recieve our full BMR suspension today, as well as NoWeeds diverters... I will post new pictures in the components section when they are here. the wheels should be here tomorrow, and axles on Saturday.

We are going to be cutting it VERY close to the deadline of Wed the 14th, but I think we just might pull it out and be ready for Camaro 5 Fest after all.

Update 4/11/2010

I added a couple of pictures to the parts section... There is a bunch of suspension goodies and the Noweeds exhaust diverters.

on Monday the 12th we expect a BMR strut Brace, Fidanza Axles, and 360 Forged Wheels... It should be a good day! I will also be picking up the car and putting some miles on the new engine, and I may even be willing to discuss the numbers we put down on the dyno!!

We will have about 90% of the vehicle completed before Camaro 5 Fest. We will still be waiting on our custom brake setup, sway bars, custom emblem, window tint, and paint.... But it will still be ready for some fun at Camaro Fest!!

As of 7pm on the 12th the car is still being tuned on the dyno here at New Era Performance. Mike and his crew
Have been awesome throughout this entire build. Even with the various problems that kept popping up, the
ZZ427 is alive and making power just in time for Camaro 5 Fest.

As of this moment we have made over 528RWHP and over 500RWTQ. These numbers are on a very streetable cam
And a brand new motor with less than 20miles on it. Just wait until it is broken in... 550RWHP will not be out of the
question!

Not bad for all motor and on a budget that might scare some forced induction companies!

More info after the drive home...
