Busted for window tint in NJ

Was driving through downtown Freehold on Wednesday when a police officer on a bicycle pulled me over for the window tint.

I had been parked in a parking lot nearby and perhaps she was waiting for me to come out, who knows.

Fine was $54. She said most officers will require me to take it off. She said she wouldn't, but that I run the risk of getting ticketed again. She said if I remove it by the court hearing date, they will waive the fine all together.

I'm just going to pay the $98 and hope I don't get busted again. If I get pulled over again soon, I might consider removing it.

Funny thing is, she didn't notice I don't have a front plate.

Have a trial and ask as many questions as possible to piss everyone off. I did a stop sign hearing and took an hour and forty five minutes. I purposely ask the same question over and over and go into every single tiny detail in excrutiatingly annoying fashion.

If I'm gonna pay so is everyone else. Every person behind me, the cop and judge are all gonna be late for dinner when I'm in court. I laugh my way to the cashier loud enough for all to hear.

I was stationed in Lakehurst a few years back and had the windows on my truck tinted to 20%. I used to drive through the traffic circle everyday to go home and there was a cop sitting there pretty often so I would just roll my windows down...Until winter hit. Got the first ticket and was going to pay the fine until the cop told me that he sees me drive by everyday. That right there told me he'll be looking to see if I have it removed, so I took it off.

Your lucky the Judge let you do that. Here in Central CA, they'd likely throw you in the slammer for that.

These cops truly have nothing better to do. People sell drugs, get murdered, rob and steal, and they give you a Fu**ing ticket for tinted windows.

There is a loophole, you could get a perscription from an eye doctor saying you need the darker tints because of the sun.

that loophole dont work brian they call bullshit if you dont present it to them right away, and that is something better for the cops to do to issue tint summons, when your boys roll up on a tinted out car and the people inside drop the windows and start shooting at them then its something better to do

They are supposed to measure with a Tint meter. My car has tints and you can still see me and what I'm doing. She should of tested Brad's car, that is all I'm saying.

It is just an excuse to milk more money for the state, sorry, but the ole gunman in the backseat does not really bold over too well. A person with or without tints can still conceal a gun, and every cop knows they are taking a risk for every car they pull over. The world sucks, and it's because of people like that the innocent guys have to suffer.

Ya, I read/hear about people getting pulled all the time for tint. I would have loved to have had 20%, but the legal limit here in NC is 35% so that's what I went with..
