Louvers

Who makes the best quality window louvers?

Anyone got them on the fifty?

For sides or back window? I've seen some on here with both on a car. I personally don't like the wavy back louvers.

For both. Not sure I'm going to do it. My opinion on whether I like them or not seems to change by the day

They were huge in the late eighties and early nineties. Visibility is bad enough without louvers IMHO. Get a set of these if you need window treatments, I'm always getting compliments on these. -> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Cleaning a window with louvers seems like it would be a deal breaker situation for me. They are double sided taped on. So I don't know how people are keeping the glass clean. Mostly an issue for the rear. I don't consider it a necessity to see out the rear window even, just seeing it dirty would be the issue

I had louvers on a Mustang Pace Car way back in the day. They had a keylock and hinge system where you could unlock it and lift it along the hinge to clean the glass, then put it back down and lock it in place when you’re done.

Here’s a link to a page where a Camaro Fifty owner has louvers on his car.

Those louvers are nothing like the 70s or 80s aluminum ones with no support in between. I'd save your money.

The louvers are held on by nuts that are attached to small mounting plates that are held on by adhesive. So, just gotta take off a few nuts to clean it. I live in Arizona, besides a little warpage on the bottom(fixed with another stick on nut, giggitty) and the heat hasnt gotten to it yet. Most brands come roughed up and could use some help before painting them. Visibility isn't that bad out the back as the louvers are angled in a way that it's like looking out window blinds in your house.

The glasskins backdraft remind me of the corvette summer car hood.

I like mine. Come off easy enough and I have them on slightly tighter than hand tight. Just unbolt and take it off, really easy to do and a 1 person job. Clean the window and put it back on. Visibility isn't more of an issue. I see just fine with them on. I also have a rear camera mounted on the inside of the back window pointed back. That is the only thing that is impaired. I am going to mess around with it more to get a better line of sight.
