magnuson warranties, or lack of

I bought a Maggie from Jessika, who was super good to me. The problem I ran into was trying to find Magnuson's warranty info on their website. And their extended warranty. So I put the charger in myself, and had great fun doing it. Afterward, I found out it has to be put in by an ASE mechanic and shop. After several go rounds with Maggie, I thought I had it solved, but after I had everything done the way I thought it was supposed to be, I was told I did not qualify. Bummer, as I was counting on that extended warranty to take the place of the Chev one I gave up. Sour grapes time. Make sure to find the warranty info and read it before doing your own install. ( It was still a lot of fun, though.) I hate to whine, but wanted to make sure folks are aware, before jumping in.

What?!
This sounds hinky to me. Maggies are great units and, my impression, they can be installed relatively easy by a Diy'er.

There has got to be more to this. Not saying anything against you OP, but that just shocks the crap out of me.
Cheers

No, OP is right, has to be installed by approved shop or ASE certified tech.
