Wind Restrictor help!
So I finally got the wind restrictor on my car, but am having issues with the wiring. (It does have the brake light module btw.) So we hooked it all up and it does light up with the interior lights and with the headlights on, but as soon as you step on the brake, it goes out rather than get brighter. We have checked the wiring and everything seems correct so I thought I would check here and see if anyone may have had this same issue or might be able to shed some light on what might be causing it to go out when I step on the brake. I did try calling the number on the sheet for some trouble shooting help, but it is after hours so there was no answer. I will definitely give them a call again during business hours, but just thought I would check to see if anyone here might have some insight for me. Not sure if it matters, but we did remove the 9v battery slot from the side of the brake light module before we installed it. Thanks.

I have the ELK and Brake Module
Mine has the box with the switch to 9v and two knobs The knob (closest to the wiring )controls the brightness of the led when applying the brake I have mine turned to full brightness if you turn in down in increments you will notice it goes out when Brake is applied just reposition the knob until desired setting is working . This only works when your car is running or is in the 12V position once you release the brake petal the intensity will go back to how you have it set on the knob farthest from wiring harness . |

Thanks for the response WhiteVert! I just went out and started playing around with the knobs on the BLM and I finally got the wind restrictor to light up when applying the brakes. I had to turn it up completely though. Even turning it down just slightly causes it to go out when the brakes are applied. But it works and looks awesome!!!! Thanks again!

I posted in the Convertible forums about getting a WindRestrictor from King Penn.
Any heads up or advice when installing it. It seems really basic .. the wiring might be a different story. I got the ELK module (multi color) and the Glow module. of course this looks awesome, but I am really hoping it makes a difference for the people in the back seat. I often have both my son and daughter with me. My son likes the back seat when we are putting down the strip, but hates it on the highway. Does the wind restrictor actually do anything for the passengers in the back? This is what I have coming: ![]()
