Cleaning Injen intake filter

I have an Injen short ram intake and it's gettin a bit gunked up. Just wondering what's the best way/ procedures for cleaning the filter? Something about oiling it too? The color of the filter is blue which I believe to be a dry filter. I'm just not real sure how to go about cleaning it effectively without potentially damaging it or my engine.

I have the same intake and filter. Use an air compressor to blow the debris out. Be sure to blow from the inside of the filter out. Be careful not to use too much pressure as it will damage the pleats of the filter.

Ok so no washing or oiling is required then? That seems easy enough. Also, how often should this be done? Thanks.

Definitely don't oil it and according to the Injen web site no washing is required. I would clean it every time you change the oil. Probably depends on driving conditions...gravel, dirt, dust.
