I had that problem last year and, as a result, only got to the track with my previous car twice and never was able to get a baseline on the 2010 before the turbos went on. Oh well, it pays for the toys though.

What he said. Some sticky Mickey Thompson drag radials alone should get you to the 60ft time you are looking for. I ran a set of 265/40-18 M/T's on my 2007 GT500 with a Stage III KenneBell and, even with their almost non-existent sidewall, I cut pretty consistent high 1.6's to low 1.7's.
Of course, upgraded axle-shafts would be a good idea on your car, too. Right now, your tires are acting as the fusible link in the drivetrain. Put sticky tires on there and get a hard launch and something else is likely to give. Last edited by garagelogic; 02-04-2010 at 08:06 AM. |
