IMO this is not 'sticky' worthy...we don't even know the source of the statement (not that I doubt Scotty ) But the statement is just 'speculative' at this point.

It freaked me out a bit as I immediately went and checked my stock and then began looking for the news of GM's 'restructuring' and was left a bit confused....

I do give GM credit for making that kind of a statement. Trying to keep GM customers in the loop is definitely a step in the right direction!

Thanks Scotty! I had a friend bash me today for ordering a Camaro... all my other friends said F&%^$()G SWEET!! He said 426HP is weak... the BMW M3 puts out 420 (really it is only 414) and blah blah.. just a lot of I then informed him of the facts... He said great job what are you going to do when they go out of business... I said they won't... I wish I had this post to show him... He is a Japanese and European car lover... we never agree on the same cars... other than the GTR.

Anyway Thanks for the post.

To all, I posted a article a while back about the "what if" if GM did file, about how it could be a good thing... I hope they can work it out with out having to but if not, either way I believe GM will be here for another 100 YEARS and beyond!

HUH??? The sentence from Scotty that I read said the Camaro has a 5 year/100,000 mi limited powertrain waranty.

Am I missing something here, maybe an inside joke perhaps ?

OK. Now that we've covered that, can I get a 3/4 ton Suburban with a Big Block or a Diesel please?

Original purchaser only. Non transferable. Most people will ditch them in 3 years or less.

It's not speculative. Here's the author:

March 19, 2009
General Motors Corporation
100 Renaissance Center
Detroit, MI 48265

It was sent to every GM dealership.
