Yes. Did it last night after driving home. Drove it to work this morning. I haven't decided yet if I am going to keep it out. does have some drone at highway speed and a lot more decel popping. I'll give it a few more miles to see.

I definately think you would want it in for a long trip.

I would just wire it to a toggle switch. that way you can open or close it with the flick of a switch for $5.

I never understood paying all that money for mild to wild when you can do the same thing way cheaper yourself.

Now this makes sense...do you have a write up on how this is done?
I'd like to do this as one of my first mods.

basically even the mild to wild that I installed for a buddy has a piggy back fues tap at the fuse box you use to install it and feed power. so you have to run some wire there anyway.

want you want to do is still put the fuse in line with the circuit but off the output leg of the circiut you want a toggle switch in series with it. baiscally if you think about it is like remotely pulling the fuse. pull the fuse and test wich side has power with the test light. run that to an inline fuse. run the other wire of the inline fuse to the togle switch. then run the other side of the toggle switch back to the other side of the fuse box.

you could accomplish it a couple ways and inline fuse with a couple spade connectors would do the trick. then you just would have the two wires that go to a toggle switch you put where ever you feel like. It would be a real simple mod and parts could be purshased at any auto parts or radio shack.

If I had a car to do it on I would post a write up with part numbers but as one of the one eybrowed pigeon toed rejects that keeps getting his order passed over that is going to be a wile.

I just have borla stingers on my Z06 so I don't have this system anymore on it. there may be a write up an a corvette board though. same principle. I never cared about the fob control that the mild to wild gives. If I am not in the drivers seat I dont' need to turn it on or off.

Shouldn't be too hard just need to wire up a switch to the fuse and find a place to mount it that you like.

Thank you....I like how you make it sound so simple....
I'm sure it is, and once I get my Z I'll be in there to do this mod...I'm in the same coup as you...need to get the car first I guess.

It would be smarter to cut the output wire from the fuse box for the exhaust control and wire the switch in series there. That way when the circuit is on it is still protected by the fuse.

IF you read what I posted you will see the circuit is still protected by the fuse. The voltage flows from the fuse box, through and inline fuse, to the toggle switch, then back to the output of the fusebox.

It also does it in a way that requires no cutting so car could be truned back to factory in 5min. If you saw a picture it would make sence and you would see how simple it is. the two spade connectors mimic the fuse, the inline fuse keeps your ciruit protestion and then the togle switch let you turn on and off the 12v. what gets more complex is the circuit that senses the wife complaining about the drone and automaticly flips the toggle switch on. haha.

The mild to wild wireless controller is plug and play all you have to do is remove the fuse and plug the module in where the fuse was and connect 1 ground wire and you are done.

Hognutz, if you do find a pic or drawing I would like to see it. Planning on doing this to my Z in the next couple of months and I am always looking for better way to do things.

I could just build one and post in pics I guess. Probably have all the parts to do it in my shop. maybe if I get board this weekend between beating the wife, kid, and dog I will throw one together.

they will all work. people try to make this too complicated. it is a fuse. 12v controled. the expensive mild to wild gives you wirelss control the old school kit is what I am talking about building yourself. there are instructions on that site.

if you look at the instructions for the old school mild to wild you will se exaclty what I am talking about. they source 12v from another location then tap into the existing fuse location and there is a pushbutton switch down in the dead pedal.
