$800 Towards Supercharger!!

In the process now of investigating supercharger systems for the Camaro. They are not cheap. So what do I get in the mail today? A $800 check from the Federal govt. Totally unexpected. A google search shows some kind of working credit out there for this amount.

This will make it a little easier to go FASTER!!

A lot of people forgot to take the tax credit last year. $400 Single $800 Married. The IRS has been correcting returns and sending out the checks.

You were supposed to fill out a schedule M and include on line 63.

Good on you and good luck in the research....I'm in the same process.... I'm also looking into normally aspirated horsepower.... I know the S/C is the cheapest way to do it, but why be like everybody else....I'm just trying to decide.... I'ld love to have 550 RWHP without the S/C....as long as driveability isn't bad.... Friend of mine has a 625 HP vette w/o any forced induction

If gas mileage is a factor, F/I is probably the better choice. 6.2 liters is always better on the mgp than 6.8 and up. Plus, boost is so much fun.

Congrats, TS.

550 rwhp is doable with 6.2L's as long as you're willing to add ported heads and are willing to put up with big cam "issues". Driveability will be less than good. You won't see the big power increase until 5000+ rpm. 625rwhp will take a stroker and even more issues. Fuel eco will suck. You can make similar power, at an rpm level that's more street friendly, with f/i. No drivability issues and good fuel eco too. With the avialable f/i systems out there, it's a no brainer to me. I've done the "big cam and heads thing"......won't do it again.
