Non-RS to RS headlight swap - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I did the swap yesterday, everything went pretty easy and smooth. I used the gen5diy harness, but I can’t get the halos to come on at all. Is there something else I need to do ?

I did mine a few years ago with that harness and also did a friend's car recently, both turned out great. What fuse did you get power from the fuse box? Can you post a pic?

Maybe I got the wrong harness then, I just got the halos on with headlights harness. Maybe I should have got the halos always on harness

I just realized you have a 2010. From the factory 2010-2013 had the halos only come on with the headlights on correct? I've only done the harness on the 2014-2015 models. Which by default the halos are always on regardless.

Yeah I’m not sure then, i got both lights off separate cars so it would be strange or a bad coincidence that both didn’t work. I’ve tried all the settings and switching between low and hi’s. I have the other harness on the way with the fuse so maybe that will fix the issue

Yeah that still didn’t work, I don’t know what’s causing it. Haven’t heard of this issue before so just my luck

Gen5diy has good customer support with issues like this. Have you given them a call yet to talk you through installation?

UPDATE: got the halos to turn on 😃

I ended up removing the 15 fuse and putting the add a fuse in there. It’s weird. I tried it originally on a different fuse and it didn’t work for some reason
