Nice cars. My first at 15 was a 3rd gen RS. I loved it and have been looking for another.

Nice car - did it come with a gold chain? J/K - I love the IROC-Z, enjoy! My best friend in high school had a gorgeous black 3rd gen Z/28 with the "H.O." that I used to ride in all the time - brings back great memories!

The Third Gen is what got me started as my first purchase back in 1996. I purchased a black 1989 IROC Z vert. It was my first Camaro and I miss it. Had several other Third Gens along the way including a black C4 87 Corvette vert with a tan rag top. Would love to get another IROC someday. Congrats!

Let's see how good you 3rd gen guys are, can anyone tell me what intake this is? It was pretty rare back in the day. Oh and no comments about the stickers, I was young and dumb... leave me alone. lol

Very nice. I have a soft spot for 3rd gens growing up in the 80's. Just sold my '87 IROC-Z to a friend little over a week ago after 9 years of ownership. Debating buying it back when things settle down a bit. Or buy a hard top 91-92 Z28.

No. The Recaros came out of a MK1 VW I think.

3rd and 5th Gen

The plastic housing air intake looks just like any other stock intake for the IROC Z. Nothing rare about it. Unless you are talking about the ACCEL SuperRam air Intake in replace of the TPI plenum and runners? I’ve seen C4 Corvette guys use the SuperRam as well in their setup. Wasn’t really that rare from what I understand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yea I'm referring to the Lingenfelter Superram, I think Accel may have bought the rights to it later on. It was definitely rare and hard to find back in the mid to late 90's. I know because it took me like 6 months to find one.
