Hello,
I bought a 2011 RS a few months ago and I’m replacing the engine (3.6). I know some of the bolts can’t be reused due to torque requirements. Someone told me the “U” shaped metal fuel lines that connects to the high pressure fuel pump and the one that connects the two fuel rails must be replaced. Can I reuse the metal fuel lines? Also, should I put a little oil on the injector’s teflon seal when installing back in the cylinder head? Thanks

GM says to replace the metal fuel lines when removing/reinstalling. They're not particularly cheap, but perhaps better than fuel spraying all over the place at ~2200 PSI.

Never replaced an injector but I believe that's typical practice.

Thanks for replying. I wanted to make sure the GM parts guy was not trying to sell more parts. They are expensive. The one “U” shaped metal line is $100 and it is only about 8 inches long.
