Because the unpainted, black plastic shark fin matches the optional black stripe. If you don't get a stripe, the fin is painted the color of the body. Still not sure what color the fin will be on the mysterious optional gray stripe that no one outside of GM has seen.

Here's a shot of the optional black stripe with the unpainted fin.

Those tires really fill up the wheel wells nicely! The more I read on this automobile, the more it becomes clear just how much of a legend it is. Whoever it was that posted the FASTLAPS.com link is very informative.

Here it is again.. is surely allows you to see how most other cars of any caliber compare to the ZL1. And, it is amazing. Also, the nice thing is that those times are very likely to be improved upon!

Again, to see this car actually on the road, running parallel to its competition, it will be the stunning vehicle IMHO! Amazing!

The status code is 4300 if you ordered stripes. This schedules movement to the vendor. That's where I am now as of this morning.

Out of the 200+ ZL1's that were there not a single one was Crystal red.

And for those complaining about our harsh Canadian winter. We have had more rain than snow, and have had abnormaly warm weather all season.
The pics show about a 1/4 of the ZL1's that are actully there.
And if your think these cars look good in photos wait until u see one in person. I cant even begin to descibe how beautiful these cars are in person.
