Yep, the decals are under the clear coat, so they look as good as day 1. As far as I know, there is only one vender who sells them, he's on eBay if you search Chevrolet Brembo Stickers, they're like $12-16 for all the lettering you'll need for the job and available in several different colors. The front decals are larger than the rear decals. I found the BLACK and WHITE letters really POP against the RED calipers!

They are indeed laser cut vinyl, you apply after the color has dried real good, then clear right over them.

Was one can of each enough to compete the job?

i used this method with one can of red and it wasn't enough, i had to focus more on the front side of the calipers rather than the backs that no one can see. if i were doing it all over again i would grab 2 cans of the red. heres how mine came out-

PS: i didn't use any gray engine enamel, just cleaned and lightly sanded and started painting.

Love the calipers! Only thing that stinks is breaking that brake line. Making sure you bleed correctly when your done. Great job!

Why do you have to break the brake lines? I followed the OP instructions without doing that and came out with the same results as him.

Nice to see the DIY helped some people with this mod. You'll definitely need 2 cans of red (or whatever color you choose) to give it at least 3 coats! Yeah, no need to disconnect the brake lines if you don't want to...all you have to do is remove one bolt about 16" away from each caliper that tethers it to the suspension - that gives you enough slack in the brake line to get at them. I'm going to edit the original post to show 2 cans of color. Thanks!

I just bought brembo calipers and plan on doing this before I install on the car. I'll be using this method. I can't wait to get started. Thanks for posting, I'll let you guys know how it goes.
