Summer meet for next year? (July 2018)

Guys and girls, we didn't have a summer meet this year athough there was plenty of interest. I personally was very grateful for the previous two summer meets and it was kind of Rick to allow us to use his land, and everyone else especially James that helped to organise it. I think we need to think about a summer meet next year before it's too late again. Do people have any ideas/suggestions/locations? Thanks again Rick and James, hope we can do it again one day.

How about a Saturday and Sunday job at a venue like this one linked below?

It is a nice hotel and restaurant, the owner has several car themed events over the year as he is a petrol head, and there are massive grounds for parking and or show if enough are interested. Think we would need a minimum number for him to consider?

It would need to be sorted well in advance as he has lots of car events, and hotel availability would need checking very carefully.

Rooms are not too expensive, and it has a really good restaurant

The Corvette club UK recently used it for a weekender, so If it's good enough for them........

Have a look guys, and don't be shy with feedback. If there is enough interest I can go and see the guy as it's local to me.

Maybe get to Hotel for Saturday morning.
Cruise to the Old Warden Aerodrome to see their collection of vintage cars and planes in the afternoon, restaurant on site for refreshments
Cruise back to hotel for evening dinner
Sunday show and shine, open to ALL Camaro's, ALL years as there is room for a lot of cars

My vote would be for the the BBQ at Ricks if that is on offer, I think it's more realistic it's a central location in the country and we don't have to rely on availability and approval from hotel owners.

BBQ will be the easy one, while something like the Sharnbrook Hotel will be costing everyone quite a lot for rooms and meals etc, and would need deposits along with a good number to attend to make it worth organizing?

Cruise to Shuttleworth is free to park and use restaurant, but you have to pay to enter the hangers for a look around at the aircraft.

Given the huge response we've had to this so far, more chance of having a sh** in queen Elizabeth's favourite handbag. It's a shame it's gone like this, facebook has ruined this UK forum now. My 2 pence worth.

Doesn't matter Pete. Sometime in July probably best - never go away then. Sunday?

I've done 8 shows so far this year, the only one with another 5th Gen was Speedfest.

Not many seen keen to travel very far Pete?
