Good Morning, long time lurker first time poster. I have a 2012 SS vert, new to me, but found this on the floor and cannot for the life of me figure out where it came from. Any help would be appreciated.

You may be onto something! Previous owner said he "rigged" the cover thing in the trunk that has to be pulled aft for the convertible to move because he broke it...time to climb into the trunk! If I'm reading that schematic correctly and that's the location of what you presented. Is there a location view of what were looking at to be sure thats the convertible stuff in the trunk?

Something you stepped on in a parking lot that wedged in your shoe tread and fell off in your car? Pretty sure that's how a shrader valve from a tire valve came from that was on my floor.

But I only wear flops when I drive her...no tread to stick in. Thinking Silver14 has the answer, just need to climb my old ass into the trunk and look

Do the rear seats fold down in convertibles? If so maybe you can get a look at it that way.

Looks like a bump stop to me, for something like a glove box door or some other panel that closes.

Why is that Quarter so Defiant?? I mean, is it pissed it wasn't a Euro or something? Maybe a Turkish Lira? Or maybe it spent too much time in your pocket bouncing around with your pocket lint in your acid washed jean shorts?
