drive both buy the one that fits your budget that makes you the happiest. have owned both and both are great cars, just wanted the V8 experience and am very happy with my SS.

My stalled ...geared...tuned bolt on l99 is a really good in stop and go traffic.

Manual guys just dont know anything about todays auto to make comments.

Autos are where it's at when you have a hot girlfriend 15 years younger than you curled up on your arm with the top down on a summers day. Not letting her go to shift.

I was in the same boat as you, I ended up with the convertible. The V6 has plenty of daily driving power. The car is still faster than 95% of all cars on the road. Get the SS if you want to bring it to the track. For cruising around town nothing like the vert. Got a laugh out of the sunroof guys, not even close to being top down.

This thread has more hits than Caitlyn Jenner. Although the note of the ATS-V doesn't sound like much, performance says something completely different. It means business once the clutch is released.

Dont be to quick to think guys that drive autos cant drive manuals......ive been driving manuals for 32 years and have zero issue banging gears with anybody. Being uneducated about today autos is the first your first problem .Second is wondering wtf just happened at that light when a bolt on tuned l99 left you sitting like you grew roots. That's if you think all things are equal would be YOUR first problem. Do you not think everyone knows the autos are faster now? But that is stock vs stock so your point is not valid. So your second problem would be wtf just happened at the light because the brochure said my car is supposed to be faster than his blown, cammed and tuned M6. The brochure didn't mention that part did it? Next time try the paddle shifters and grab a hold of your girlfriend a little tighter.
