My suggestion is, you live once with no resets. Go with what you want, in my perspective I wanted to try something different and never thought owning a V8 vert. Best of both worlds.

I would guess most under 30's, V6 or V8 are still going through that rental thing along with going to school or paying off student loans. I would even say most under 30's across the board don't own their own home yet.

Geez. Over 50, own house, other vehicles and motorcycle, and putting youngest thru college.

Yeah, you need a poll.

2013 LT convertible here in AZ & the V6 is plenty for me at 323HP. I upgraged from 08 Stang V6 coupe with 270HP. So I'm good. I'm 5' 10" and also have another ride too.

Since you have the Silverado, I'd go convertible, especially since you say the Vert possibility keeps biting you. Here's me in mine....top down.

LMAO!!! Fish on...

I have three kids, one graduated, and two in high school. I have my own house that I live in on my own, that being said you can obviously include child support in with that statement. I have a Volvo S40 that I use as a daily driver, and a Yamaha R1 that I might be selling for a twin turbo for the 1LE, and I just dropped a total of $12000 for mods on my SS and 1LE combined in the past 3 months.

I also have a big long red beard. That was for the guy that said something about v6ers having beards.

As for the OP whom I also believe is fishing lol...

I think you already answered your own question.

If you want a V8 you're obviously concerned about power. If you settle for less you're gonna be disappointed. If your were only concerned about looks you would already have a convertible.

I don't think the test drive thing is really the answer because you're not gonna be going out and trying to light the tires up with the salesman sitting next to you. However, if you really feel like driving them, rent one for day. Honestly though, there's really no need. The power difference is night and day. Either you want power with endless possibilities for a modding future, or you want a piece of art that you can add your own personality to.

Have fun. I can't wait to read the rest of the replies.

Not a problem, it is a moment in time and all about the thrill of the ride.
