Need help identifying part

Hi, I tried looking around but I can't find any reference to the part number or what this part is. One of the rods on my driver side suspension has some how bent itself. I am still very curious how it happened. I have attached a picture.

Forgot to mark the rod but it is the one rubbing up against the wheel suspension. You can seen it is touching.

That's your sway bar link bud...as to how it got bent? hit any pot holes?

Ah, thanks doesn't look too hard to change either. I might've hit a few but never something that hard. I am in Pot-Holifornia where every mile you get a pothole.
