k&n CIA Question

Do i need to disconnect the neg battery term for the install of the 63-3075 CIA. I don't want to have any memory issues with the batt.

The directions from K&N states to disconnect the battery. I did when I installed mine and just had to reset the power windows and I think the clock. I know some members have installed it without disconnecting the battery.

I have not installed a new exhaust yet but planning on purchasing the Flowmaster axle back system when I replenish my mods fund. lol. I am very happy with the K&N CAI. Definetly a difference in the sound and my butt dyno notices a difference.

Cool

Agreed, K&N sound is nice. As for Axle back. Yes, I have the MRT 2 and it has a nice low tone, but when I get on it, it is Loud.

I have a magnaflow axle back and it sounds pretty good now, just didn't know how it would sound adding a CIA, does it sound any louder at idle?

Well i installed my K&N this week and didnt remove the negative battery terminal....No c.e.l and everything went smooth...
I think the battery disconnect is for the v8 crowd that have different timing tables in there computers...since gm has only put 1 in the v6 no need to disconnect it...Anyway never had any negative effects on my install.
