I talked to Torq today and they say 8 business days from tomorrow it'll be here. They're going to call me Friday to confirm shipment and then its another 5 business days from then. I did call and talked to you 3 weeks ago about this issue and I see its not on your end. Thanks for your help!

4.0 for the Gen 5 is in the works. Most of the CAD data and drawings are done and some prototype parts are in the process of being made. We still have some work to do and testing to do but all I can say right now is that yes, it is coming. I do not have a release date or time frame at this time though.

Will the 4.0 be a direct drive or a Jack shaft, inlet forward like your 2.9?

Thanks!!

Now Torq is telling me they ordered a pallet of whipples so I don't even know when I'm going to get mine and still no ship date, they're just telling me very soon.

Weather a pallet or a single kit, it takes no longer than 4 weeks from the time of order to the time it is ready to ship.

So y is this guy been waiting over 11 weeks for his unit from Torq? Sounds like Torq is giving this guy the run around and in turn jeopardizing your good name in the industry of very well know products and timely production.

Not good on Torqs end if that

I agree. Which is why I am out here setting the record straight. This is not the first of Torq's customers I have had to step in and defend Whipple's name/product due to what they have told the customer but I can not say too much due to dealer/vender confidentiality. All I can say is that once an order is placed with Whipple, it has been a 3-4 (now 2.3) week lead time for the kit to be built and ready for shipping and that every order is built in the order it is received.

I love reading this stuff "...is telling me they ordered...". If you are in Florida make it simple and go to Redline, it will end up there some shape or form; maybe in pieces! LOL (Inside joke)

I know it's not you guys, I was just updating everyone on what Torq is telling me. Thanks Mike for all the information you have given me, you've been a lot of help.

Any time. I just don't like when a dealer is telling people that it is Whipples fault when it clearly is not. Just wanted to make a statement so everyone knows (which most do because they have been receiving their kits).

Mike, Please don't feel like that you have to set the record straight. I wasn't attacking you at all. I completely understand how things work with Whipple and the great products and service that you have provided to not only me but many of my friends. I'm hoping that some heat on this subject helps open people's eyes about Torq and what they may or may not be doing with customers money. I have an acquaintance in Palm City FLA who had given Torq money in full for one of your kits back in June he still has not received anything and is getting pissed! Torq is starting to sound like the good ol days of Hennessey lately. I saw a thread on a ford forum about a raptor that had some of the same issues as people here are experiencing. If I find the link I will post it.
http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f192/...5/index17.html http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f192/...5/index16.html People work to hard for their money to put it in someone's hands with hopes of getting something In return only to be actually funding someone else's life. At this point I would say buyer beware of Torq. Hopefully Torq will make good with these customers and straighten out their act.

I completely understand and I am sorry I sounded like you were atttacking me. I did not mean it that way. Just wanted to be sure customers understand that Whipple is not to blame for what Torq is saying and doing. We simply take orders from customers/dealers and, if everything is handled between the customer/dealer by the time it comes to ship, we ship it.
