I'm looking to install bigger gears in my 2010 Camaro SS M6. I have never done gears before, just trying to understand a couple things. First off, how many splines to mate up to the stock differential? Would I need one of the install kits from Strange? Gaskets, bolts, anything of that sort? I was also looking to upgrade the driveshaft, would that change anything?

look for a good mechanic that has done these before..while I did do mine it wasn't my first rodeo...unless you like to gamble? lol

Without full knowledge drop the diff and take it to a shop. You’ll be glad you did.

So I talked to a friend who has been doing these for 20+ years, and he will be doing it for me. But does anyone know the spline count for our stock rear? I need to get the gears ordered ahead of time, as this is my daily currently.
