Brailles are awesome. We use them in the drag cars to reduce weight.

As for the alt, get an overdrive alt pulley whenever you use an underdrive crank pulley and/or have a sound system or other high draw accy. They are cheap for the billet ones.

CCA is the maximum amperes that can be continuously removed from a battery for 30 seconds at 0°F before its voltage drops to unusable levels. A 550 CCA battery can supply 550 amperes for 30 seconds at 0°F. This rating is only useful in the selection of engine starting batteries.

CA is the same except it is measured at 3
0°F

The 15 lb Braille has a 21 amp hour rating compared to the stock battery's 80 amp hour rating. So the 15 lb battery has roughly 1/4 the capacity of the stock battery.

About $180 on ebay.

Braille batteries are great. I put the same one in mine some time ago and haven't had a single issue with it. You can get them at Summit Racing, Jegs, even Amazon carries them I believe. Or Ebay.

Mine is daily driven so I can't answer that part of the question for ya, but it has been about four months and 6,000 miles since I installed the battery and it's working great! I think the longest I have gone without driving my car is two days, lol. The true test will be on the coming months when I have to start the car with temps in the low twenties/high teens, that's about the coldest it gets around here.

Nice looking package. How come you didn't use the Braille mounting bracket?

Cause it's $75 and the stock bracket works fine.

I used stock as well, just a little different style of packaging. It is certainly adequate.

Just an update since I have gotten a couple of questions about my battery lately.

The only time ever the battery has struggled to start was when my car was off, I had all my lights on, including headlights, for about 40 min to get video and pictures of the Wind Restrictor.
Oh and I have an ASP under drive pulley also so it doesn't charge as much as a stock pulley would.
The only time I wouldn't recommend this battery is if you have a huge audio/video system or if you have really cold/long winters.
