I saw my first IOM car at Ramey Chev in Tazewell VA yesterday and it is awesome. Much better in person.

I am from Scotland so orange does not have the racing connotations for me that it has in US (took me a while to figure out why folks in America painted sports cars orange...)

I had been planning SIM with CG rally stripes

BUT.... Then I saw IOM in real life and it is an insanely cool color - but it really has chameleon qualities under different light - the photos in the forums really show that - it can look from red to glowing as if it is on fire.
Gold flakes in the paint are what gives it a life of its own

I do have to say that my wife does not like it and my 18 year old daughter would prefer red - but my son and I love it - and when I started looking at all the silver and black cars on the way to and from work each day I thought what the heck... go for gusto ;-)

man i was so set on the inferno orange with the matching interior,but i seen one here in pensacola and the interior has more of a reddish tint instead of the nice orange color that you see in the videos.but its still nice. cant wait till that website that has the carbon fiber 2 tone stering wheel and door panels will come up with orange 2 tone kevar .if they even will.but that red 2 tone kevlar panel and steering wheel is sweet.hope they can do or some1 here in pensacola fl.can do a leather dash wrap with color matching stiching around it.omg,that wouls reaaly set off the dash , in my opinion

I saw the orange for the first time Saturday morning and darn near dropped my pants right there. My dream didn't turn wet until my gf decided to order one; IOM, 2-ss w/ a 6spd manual! We agreed that I will take custody of the car if we split. She will match my 2000 SS nicely in the garage. Oh if only I could fast forward 10 months.

the grey stripes do look good on the orange,but ive seen the black stripes which is a flat black,really really look pretty sweet.i didnt think i would pick the black ones over white ones.but now im on the fence.cause the black matches with the tires and some trim and it goes good to match the interior if ya have the inferno interior unless you have grey interior then grey would work.but this is just my opinion for some1 who seen it in person.and thats why theres different colors of stripes and paints and interior cause every1 is different and you cant go wrong no matter what way you go as long as its on a camaro

just received my IOM i like it. color looks nice. now people are talking about the miss match on the front bumper well it is hard to match plastic with metal. it could be the layer for example one layer makes it noticable and three not as noticable. but hey its life car is nice.

Yea they don't paint the fascia seperate it's the same exact paint and curing. So what your seeing is the base material. Really we would need an electron microscope to view what's going on.

People just need to realize automotive paints are not like some latex or whatever your used to. They are complex and volitile.

Many don't even know that high quality auto paints are under fire from the Environmental crowd. Ask the House of Kolor founder he bitches about it all the time.

That's why his products cost more cause he refuses to cut out the good stuff (nasty chemicals that help the paint dry and cure properly and last).

I saw another IOM 2SS yesterday, and the bumpers (both of them) are lighter than the body. Being a painter myself, I know that plastic parts are usually a different color, but the color difference on this car (approx 8k range) was pretty drastic. Still, not a deal breaker difference to me. That IOM is freakin' sweet.
