Drove mine like I was being chased by a rapist...

Had a smell...but no more than usual for normal break in.

My (company vehicle) 2014 SS has the same issues, but with only 850 miles: also a lot of chatter in reverse.

I ordered a 1LE again, but with the cold weather tire constraints, we were required to go with the SS.
Last year had a 2013 1LE & never had any clutch or other issues....miss that car. (Also miss the "tighter" 1LE steering, etc. etc.)

The only time I have ever had the clutch stink, is when the hill assist got me a couple of times. Sorry to hear your tranny is acting up already.

The clutch and trans are the only things about my 1le that I hate. Noisy, clunky, smelly, and rough all around. I've taken it in 3x and finally GM told me, "That's just how these clutches and transmissions work."

So... yay. Hoping the new exhaust will cover up some of the sound that this thing makes. Super embarrassing in a car park.

This is meant with no offense to you, but either you are not driving right, or there is something wrong with the car. After the initial getting used to this system, this tranny / clutch combo has been great.

Glad to hear you got it resolved. My car clutch has smelled really bad twice. Once when I was on a hill and had to slip it for the Hillassist and another time I got pissed off at someone and revved it too much when taking off.
Sometimes when my car is cold it will be "clunky" but I never had it grind in 2nd or any other gear (except for one missed shift at the track which was totally my fault.)

Anyone ever get a clunk when driving at low speed 8-10 in first gear then depressing clutch? In had a burning smell the first time I pulled it in my enclosed trailer but not since

No offense taken because I keep thinking the same thing. GM tells me the grinding when the clutch is released is "normal" because of a "big flywheel" and that the difficulty getting it into gear is because I'm not used to driving a performance car.

I disagree as both the Mustangs and Challengers I've driven don't have these problems but... if GM tells me there's no problem, there's just not a lot I can do. My dealership has another SS on the lot with the same problem. "Normal" according to GM.

im pretty sure you have the same problem i had.. or similar.. for this to be a track car shifting in and out of 2nd and 3rd there is no way i could run with the way this car was shifting.. it was hit or miss... feel 100% better.. i would go to another dealership imo..

I've had quite a number of new Chevy's with manual transmissions. Included in that number were 3 Corvettes, one of which was a Z-06.

I was surprised with my new 1LE when I continued to smell the clutch with any driving that one would consider anything less than tender. The smell slowly diminished over time/use until now (at 5,000 miles) I rarely smell the clutch even during aggressive starts.
